Full Moon Girls' Night
A full Moon happens roughly every 29.5 days. This is the length of time it takes for the Moon to go through one whole lunar phase cycle. My girlfriend Auriel with Love luna moon and I decided to host a full moon party with a few close girlfriends! We provided apps with dinner, goody bags, and had an astrologer come to give everyone a moon cycle reading based on their signs.
I typically have my own ritual during the full Moon where I pamper myself, take a bath, charge my crystals, write down what I want to release, journal my manifestations, light some sage, and set intentions for the future. But doing it with a few close girlfriends made it special and a great excuse for a girls’ night!
This April was the Pink Full Moon, so Auriel decided to host the event at her house and decorate with all pink decorations of course.
The centerpieces are Blooms by Brooklyn- they turned out to be the perfect addition for the event.
The Goody bags for the girls added a sentimental touch. They included a Grimoire from Etsy about the April Full Moon, a Palo Santo, and a bath oil I made myself!
Ingredients for DIY bath oil:
2 oz coconut oil (liquid)
20-24 drops of your favorite essential oil
I added in a lavender stem for decor and gold flakes (optional).
A container to put it in, I used these tubes from amazon.
Mix all ingredients together and funnel it into a container of choice, I used these tubes from amazon!
I kept the appetizers super easy. I prepared a cheeseboard, chicken samosas from Trader Joe’s, and punch.
Punch Ingredients:
1 container of simply raspberry lemonade
1 container of grapefruit juice
1 container of cranberry juice
A few flowers for decor!
(You can add in champagne or vodka if you want to spike it!)
After enjoying some wine and apps, we went to Auriel’s living room and had all of our moon cycles read by Adrienne. I highly recommend her, she is a Psychological astrologer, Tarotist, Numerologist, recovery, and empowerment coach, located here in San Diego. Having her truly made the girls’ night that much more special!
For dinner, I made us some chili and cornbread. It was perfect because it was a gloomy day, and easy since I could just prepare it and let it cook all day in the crockpot and let the girls get theirselves a bowl when they were ready.
After dinner, we all went outside to take a look at the Moon together, which was a spectacular end to a perfect night!
