Date night makeup
Although I am a makeup artist I really don’t venture out much when it comes to my own makeup. I have a “everyday look” and then I have a going out look which is shown in the photos above. I do love to switch up my lip colors often, and I will be doing a post on my favorites soon.
I personally think this is a good look for most skin tones.
XO
MAC Painterly
This is the first step in my routine. Painterly is a cream eyeshadow that acts as a primer, it neutralizes the lid and keeps eyeshadow on all day without creasing. If you have a deeper skintone I would suggest the shade groundwork. I apply it all over my lid and lower lash line with this brush.
Natasha Denona Biba Palette
When it comes to quality, these eyeshadows are the best! I was so hesitant to buy for a while because it is so expensive, but eventually caved and I have to say it is worth every penny. I apply freckle as a crease color, coco for the outer V and lower lash line, and alternate between Monroe. Which is the closest shade I have found to my favorite discontinued color - all that glitters by MAC, and shine for the lid. Then I use buff to buff out the lower lash line and add warmth.
Loreal INFALLIBLE 24hr Fresh Wear
This has been a staple of mine for years, every time I try and branch out to a high end foundation I end up coming back to this one. Its a medium buildable satin coverage and in my opinion would work for any skin type.
Loreal INFALLIBLE PRO-MATTE Foundation
If you have oily skin you need this foundation! I can count on this one to stay all night and keep me shine free.
Tarte Shape Tape
Whole grail concealer for full coverage glam. This covers the darkest of circles. It doesn’t budge, and comes in several shades. I use the shade light when I don’t have a tan and light medium beige when I am spray tanned. I use a real techniques setting brush to apply it then usually press it in with a beauty blender.
NUDESTIX Nudies all over face color in Bondi Bae
After trying every cream bronzer that exists (just kidding… kind of) this one has become my favorite. I apply it directly to this hourglass brush, then blend it out on my forehead and cheekbones. It blends out beautifully and gives a beautiful soft golden bronze. If you like a dramatic ashy contour this is NOT the cream bronzer for you.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder
I use this to set my foundation, it adds a little extra coverage without being cakey. I use shade one. You can also use this to touch up throughout the day or MAC blot powder, which will take away shine without adding extra coverage. I love applying both of these with a kabuki brush.
NARS Soft Velvet Powder
I love this powder to set my concealer because I prefer a little extra brightness. I use the shade snow and apply with this MAC brush. If you prefer something more translucent or are darker than a NC40 I would suggest Laura mercier translucent powder.
MAC Melba
My favorite peachy blush, been using this for years. I apply it with the smaller side of this hourglass brush.
Benefit Ka-BROW
My favorite brow pomade. I love the texture of this because its easy to blend out, not too dry or too creamy. I use shade 3.5 with this sigma brush.
Mialni Stay Put Eyeliner
The darkest and most creamy pencil liner I’ve tried. It almost has a glossy look that I really love. I have been using this on my waterline for years and cant do full glam on myself without it.
Too Faced Better Than Sex Liner and Mascara
My current favorite liquid liner and mascara. If you like a mascara that isn’t too wet and gives volume, you should try this one. My one complaint is that it seems to dry out fast, but I keep going back to it. The liquid liner is incredible for getting a precise wing, I love the brush tip because you have more control over the thickness and it glides on easily.
Ardell Naked Lashes in 424
I personally don’t love a super thick lash, it doesn’t work with my features so this is my go to lash. This whole line is so beautiful and I love that the band is invisible. Some of the most comfortable lashes I’ve worn.
MAC Ruby Woo
My absolute favorite matte red lip with a cool undertone. I like to prime my lips first with MAC prep + prime lip then line with cherry lipliner, and apply it on top.
